## Join Our Growing Team

Carrick Rugby Football Club is delighted to be recruiting for a **Community Development Officer** to join our growing team.

This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in developing community projects, building partnerships, securing funding and creating opportunities that make a lasting difference across the communities we serve.

Working alongside our Development Team, Trustees and volunteers, you'll help strengthen connections across North and South Carrick while supporting projects that have a real and lasting impact on local people.

Although the role is based within Carrick Rugby Football Club, it extends well beyond rugby. We are looking for someone who shares our passion for community development and wants to help create opportunities that improve lives across our local communities.

## Role Details

**Location:** North & South Carrick, South Ayrshire

**Engagement:** Employed or self-employed, depending on the successful candidate and mutual agreement.

**Salary/Rate:** Competitive and dependent on experience and engagement model.

**Hours:** 23 hours per week (if employed).

**Contract:** Fixed-term opportunity for two years.

## About the Role

As Community Development Officer, you will lead and support a range of community initiatives that strengthen connections, improve opportunities and deliver meaningful outcomes for local people.

Working collaboratively with our Development Team, Trustees, volunteers and community partners, you will play a key role in securing funding, developing projects and ensuring Carrick Rugby Football Club continues to grow as a trusted community organisation.

## Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will:

* Develop and deliver community-led projects and initiatives.
* Build and maintain strong relationships with local partners, schools, stakeholders and community organisations.
* Identify funding opportunities and prepare high-quality grant applications.
* Promote the club and its activities through digital platforms, social media, traditional media and community engagement.
* Support the delivery, monitoring and evaluation of projects.
* Prepare reports and evidence for funders and stakeholders demonstrating project impact.
* Work collaboratively with the Development Team, Trustees and volunteers to achieve strategic objectives.
* Identify opportunities to increase participation, volunteering and community engagement across North and South Carrick.

## About You

We're looking for someone with experience in community-led projects, funding applications and social media who is passionate about making a positive impact.

You'll be an organised, enthusiastic and proactive individual with excellent communication skills, strong relationship-building abilities and a genuine desire to make a difference within local communities.

**No rugby knowledge, experience or qualifications are required.** We're looking for the right person with the skills, enthusiasm and commitment to help our communities thrive.

## Employment Arrangements

The successful applicant may be engaged on either an employed or self-employed basis, with the final arrangement agreed following interview and dependent on the needs of both parties.
