This passed weekend, Carrick RFC’s P6 team were invited to play in a tournament at Glasgow Warriors' Scotstoun Stadium. If they won their pool games they would gain the chance to play at half time on the Warrior’s pitch - in front of a sell-out crowd of 7,500! - as the home side took on Leicester Tigers.

They started off with a good old Ayrshire derby against Ayr RFC. A very strong performance throughout the team with Carrick coming out on top, 8 tries to 2.

Next up was their first ever fixture against GHK RFC. This was a tough match with a very high standard of play, and our kids worked extremely hard to earn a 4-tries-to-2 victory.

They had won the opportunity to play on the pitch during the half time break!

Once again, they faced-off against the GHK team and some more cracking rugby was on display by both sides. Carrick managed an excellent defensive performance, bringing in a draw with 2 tries each in the end – a fair result for all.
